George has been coaching here for the past three years. His visits are treated with keen anticipation because he is punctual, reliable and good-natured. He is also a very good coach. His coaching is not over-technical, but focuses on providing handy tips with which to improve ones game. In my experience he is equally at home coaching a 75-year-old as he is with his grandchildren, and is adept at making the game interesting for youngsters. For me the ability to adapt his own play to achieve a competitive environment, for whomever he is rallying with, is the key point, as it makes the whole exercise enjoyable, rather than a chore.I have no reservation in recommending George as a first-class coach

Tennis has always played a significant part in the Haycock family life but George has been the rock upon which all my children built up their understanding of the game and skills required to play at a very good level. Not only at Brambletye but also at home, George has been a regular feature coaching our kids. He combines experience, patience, technical expertise, fun and reliability to make himself, in my view, one of the best coaches in Sussex for players of all levels. My boys have gone on to play at a high level in their respective Public Schools 1st Teams and a Haycock holiday would never be complete without a tennis racket being packed, in no small part due to the love of the game George helped to instil from a young age.
