George has been coaching here for the past three years. His visits are treated with keen anticipation because he is punctual, reliable and good-natured. He is also a very good coach.
His coaching is not over-technical, but focuses on providing handy tips with which to improve ones game. In my experience he is equally at home coaching a 75-year-old as he is with his grandchildren, and is adept at making the game interesting for youngsters. For me the ability to adapt his own play to achieve a competitive environment, for whomever he is rallying with, is the key point, as it makes the whole exercise enjoyable, rather than a chore.
